Stefania just had a major temper tantrum that lasted for about an hour. This is only her second major one that she’s had but boy are they a drainer! I think she was just over tired, and just needed her sleep. Both her and Matteo are sleeping like little angels right now. I started potty training Stefania last Monday and I think that she is pretty much completely trained, which makes me oh so happy. It was about 9 days of cleaning up after her accidents but it was all worth it in the end. Tonight she was screaming out “Caca Mama” at Tim Hortons so i quickly brought her to the washroom, but i guess it was just a false alarm, or she just farted. We went back into the eating area and she was screaming it again so I told her to hold it in until we went home. When we got home we hung out in the back with naked Stefania and hungry Matteo with our trusty potty. A few minutes later she sat down on it and did her thing, got up and said ” oh look, I did yellow water and brown snake!” It was hillarious and Cos and I were grinning from ear to ear. It was the first time she actually did her stuff on the potty without us telling her to or her telling us that she had to do it, other than earlier today when she ran to the potty leaving a trail behind her to pee. My little girl is growing up and it brings tears to my eyes. A major milestone accomplished in her life, and many more to come. I am so looking forward to sleep tonight and so looking forward for my mom, sis and her family to come back from Portugal…5 days and counting..

I can’t believe that it already has been over 3 months since the birth of little Matteo. He is almost 13 lbs. now and is as cute as ever! We are all having so much fun with him. He is laughing and smiling a lot and grabbing mine and Stefania’s hair too! Stefania is talking in full sentences now, just at this very moment Matteo spit up so Stefania said “oh oh Matteo spilled everywhere!” She is surprising me everyday. We are so fortunate to have such great healthy kids

On April 10, 2008 at 10:49 am I gave birth to a healthy 7 pound 4 ounce baby boy! We named him Matteo and he is very cute. Some people say he looks like Cos, others say like me…we will see in a few months. His eyes are dark blue right now like Stefania’s when she was born so hopefully they stay light like hers as well. The c-section went well dispite the latex catheter they put in beforehand..I guess they forgot that I was allergic to latex so they had to change it right before surgery and after my spinal freezing. That was really the worst part of it. With the spinal I felt some tugging going on during surgery and a lot of pressure the moment they delivered him but never any pain. When they finally announced to us that it was a boy, i told Cos “it’s a boy” (eventhough he was right beside me and heard everything) and I started to cry and he was just in awe. And then he told me he had something to tell me later on and something for the baby. It ended up being a balloon that said “it’s a boy” on it that he had noticed in the waiting room while he was waiting to be called into the surgery room. He said that when he saw that balloon it was a sign to him that it would be a boy. We are so happy that we have a happy healthy addition to our family and we wish nothing but the best for both him and Stefania. Stefania is really cute with him, she always wants to touch and kiss him now, and just yesterday she started wanting to hold him, so we helped her do so. Matteo is easy going and doesn’t seem to mind, just last night I heard him laughing in his sleep, maybe he was dreaming of Stefania..lol. Anyway, that is my story about the birth of our 2nd gift from God. I will try to write again soon!!

Pictures of us during my 2nd pregnancy
click the link above.
Less than 5 more days until our next little bundle of joy will be brought into this world! We are all very excited and anticipating our new arrival. This pregnancy seemed to go by very fast dispite my acid/heartburn and backache during the last couple of months. It’s all worth it in the end though and I hope for nothing but a successful surgery and a healthy baby. I can hardly wait for Stefania to meet her sibling and have a lot of fun with him or her. Well I am off to go rest now and spend time with the family. Bye for now!

We just got back from Nat’s 13th birthday. I can’t believe that she’s already a teenager! Seems like just yesterday that she was born. Stefania is very lucky to have such good cousins in her life (Natalie and James) who take care of her and play with her. Everything went great with the ultasound. The technician said that it looks like my due date is April 14 instead of what the doctor said which was April 19. I guess Dr. Wong will be calling me soon with a C section date, which will be about 1 week before my due date. I couldn’t get any triple marker screen test results because I took the test too late, but I am not worried at all. The Doc said that because of my age and the success of my previous pregnancy there is nothing to worry about. Some small towns don’t even do the test at all. The baby is being very active in my tummy, especially when I am hungry!! I ate so much chocolate cake tonight and feel so gross, im gonna go have some green tea and go relax now. Bye for now!

We got back from Cancun, Mexico last week and it was awesome :) Stefania absolutely loved it. She played in the water for most of the time during the day and she partied inside the resort at night. She was a bundle of energy. We went with family so we had some babysitters:) which helped a lot. I am starting to show now and feeling indigestion. Could be from the all you can eat buffet in Mexico! It will be so cute watching my two babies playing with eachother. I can hardly wait. I am very excited for my ultrasound appointment which is coming up next week as well!

On Monday me and my sister did the 9th annual 10 km. Turkey Trot which started and ended at Granville Island. This year you could bring your kid and stroller “turkey tot”, so we brought Stefania. We walked it with very minimal running (just downhill) and Stefania slept for the last 4 km. She was awake when we ran to the finish line, and it looked like she was more excited than us, kicking her feet up in the air and laughing. I’m still feeling a little achy, mainly just my shins now, a lot better than that day and the day after. It took us 1 hour and 48 minutes to do the 10 km. (not bad for a pregnant woman!!!) Pictures of us are on the website http://siphotography.ifp3.com/ then click on enter site, then you have to go to gallery on the left and click on 9th annual turkey trot and then tot trot. We are on the 2nd page, if you scroll down then you will see us:)

On Monday I had my first prenatal for baby #2. I am almost 11 weeks now, and doctor said that everything looks fine. The office booked an appointment for me with Dr. Carrie Wong to talk about having another c-section or going vbac. Looks like my Dr. is leaning more towards another c-section, but he says he’s leaving the decision up to me. My ultrasound is also booked for November 26. Im really hoping that they don’t find another cpc with this baby, although most of them do go away, its still very scary to go through. It’s already Wednesday today…the week is going by so fast. Bye for now!

I took a home pregnancy test this morning and found out that I am pregnant again!! My period was about a week late but I didn’t take the pregnancy test earlier because I got implantation bleeding last week which I thought was the start of my period. We are so excited! Cos was very surprised when I told him, he couldn’t beleive it. I told him at McDonald’s while we were snacking on fajitas. I got Stefania to give him a thank you card which read “Daddy, thank-you for being such a great dad! You make me laugh so hard!! Oh and by the way,…….mommy told me that i’m gonna be a BIG SISTER in April!!!!!Congratulations to US!! Hugs and Kisses, Stefania.” I got the whole thing on tape, and he had no idea that this was coming. I got him gooooood
I will be calling tomorrow to make my Drs. appointment to confirm my pregnancy and also for Stefania’s 1st year appointment. I can hardly wait for her to have a sibling, I know that she will be so good with him or her. I will be writing what’s happening for the first 3 months of pregnancy and be putting it up on my blog in mid October once we announce it to everyone! More exciting times ahead once again.

We went to the Doctors today to confirm my pregnancy and for Stefania’s wellness checkup. My first exam will be on September 21. The doc says that Stefania’s in the 75th percentile for her height (thats above average), but low for her weight. She is 17 pounds and 13 ounces right now, and looks healthy. She hasn’t had any sicknesses so I am not worried. He wants me to put her on Homo milk to gain some extra fat, but I am going to keep her on my breast milk. She is not ready to give it up..I can tell, not to mention that human milk is the best milk for human babies… My first pregnancy exam will be on September 21, 2007.Â
Sepember 6, 2007
I went to to the Doctor’s today because I have been spotting for the past few days. The doctor said that its normal for spotting between the 6-8 week mark, but it’s still very scary. He did the internal today instead of waiting for Sept 21, and he said that my cervix is closed, didnt notice any spotting, and that everything looks fine…THANK GOD. I was really worried that I was having an ectopic pregnancy because I was spotting, feeling cramps, and having shoulder pain on one side which are all signs of an ectopic pregnancy. I am so looking forward to my ultasound so I can be rest assured that the baby is planted in my uterus and not anywhere else. I think I worry to much, but I guess that is normal. All parents worry…lol

We had the family over tonight for our big announcement! I made a chocolate devils food cake and on it I wrote “We are having a baby Im gonna be a big sister”. I got James, Natalie and Stefania to bring it to the table, but my sister took the parchment paper off and read it before it got there. She smiled and laughed and everyone was waiting at the table wondering what was going on. Natalie then read it, and said “I knew it” everyone seemed kind of speechless, and my mother in law thought that her other son Rob and daughter in law were announcing their pregnancy. I am glad i got it on film, lol, it was pretty funny. Maybe i wil put it on You Tube for you all to see!!
